Men's Soccer Releases 2019 Schedule

2019 SCHEDULE

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College men's soccer team has released its 2019 schedule. This year's slate includes 10 non-conference games as well as the annual nine Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) matchups.

Wilmington's season begins with a non-conference bout with Cincinnati State University at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 31. After a road game at Mount St. Joseph University to open September, the Quakers will host four consecutive home games that include the Kiwanis Classic on Sept. 6-7, the Quaker Bowl Rivalry game with Earlham College on Sept. 11 and Bethany College (West Virginia) on Sept. 14.

The end of September brings the end of the non-conference portion of Wilmington's season and with it comes four straight contests on the road. The Quakers will travel to Wittenberg University, Franklin College, Kenyon College and Anderson University.

OAC competition begins with consecutive home games against Heidelberg University on Oct. 5 and Muskingum University on Oct. 9. Three of the next four games are on the road – at the University of Mount Union, at Marietta College and at Otterbein University – with a home date with Ohio Northern University on Oct. 16 sandwiched in between. Two of the final three games of the regular season are at home against Baldwin Wallace University and John Carroll University for senior night on Nov. 2.

Wilmington will need to replace its top three offensive players – Niklas Martensson, Daniel Kappelin and Benny Spirk – from last season. Leon Tank and Nati Wallis, who both netted three goals a season ago, return along with goalkeeper Felix Maurer who played all but 45 minutes in the Quaker net in 2018.
