2023 Female Clyde Lamb Award Winner - Women's Soccer's Lauren Galloway

WILMINGTON, Ohio - Lauren Galloway, a senior on the Wilmington College women's soccer team, is the College's female Clyde Lamb Award winner for the 2022-23 academic year.

Galloway hails from Beavercreek, Ohio, and is a gradate of Beavercreek High School. A four-year starter as goalkeeper, she earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) honors all four years and served as a captain captain her final three seasons wearing the Green & White. The OAC Freshman of the Year in 2019, Galloway helped the Quakers to two OAC Tournament berths and earned a shutout victory against Baldwin Wallace University at home in the spring of 2021. The program's career leader in saves (388), she was a part of 26 shutouts and sits fifth on the WC women's soccer list in that category. 

An accounting and finance major, Lauren graduated from WC in May with a 3.99 grade point average. She was an Academic All-OAC selection that maximum amount of times and earned First Team Academic All-Ohio honors from the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association and Academic All-District recognition from the College Sports Communicators.

A member of the WC honors program, Galloway was involved on campus as a supplemental instructor with the business department as well as the student senate accounting chair. Additionally, Lauren was a four-year member of the Alpha Kappa Sorority and served as its president for the 2022-23 academic year.
