WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's soccer team heads to Capital University for an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contest on Wednesday evening. Kickoff from Bernlohr Stadium is slated for 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Capital. The Fightin' Quakers enter the game with a 6-4-0 overall record and looking to rebound from a 2-1 defeat at the hands of John Carroll University in the OAC opener on Saturday. The Comets are 5-2-1 and defeated rival Otterbein University 2-1 on Saturday by scoring the game-winning goal with 11 seconds remaining.

The Coaches: Nick Kinder, a 2010 alumnus and four-year member of the men's soccer program, enters his first year as head women's soccer coach. He has spent the last four seasons as the program's top assistant coach including the last six weeks leading the program on an interim basis following the retirement of 30-year Head Coach Steve Spirk. He is just the fifth head coach in the 37-year history of the program as a varsity sport. Matt Ogden is in his eighth season as Capital's head women's soccer coach.

The Players: A duo of first-year Quakers - Shannon Jamieson and Alex Wilson - have scored five goals this season as Wilson netted WC's lone goal against John Carroll last weekend. Jamieson has dished out a team-high five assists while seniors Maddie Scott and Elizabeth Matthews have netted multiple goals. Defensively, goalkeeper Lauren Galloway and the WC defense allow exactly one goal a game and have shutout five opponents. Avery Hart has scored five of Capital's dozen goals for the year while Madeline Woodruff and Taylor Marcum have each netted two. Defensively, Lauren White has a 4-2-0 record in the Comet net.
