WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's soccer team travels to Franklin, Indiana on Saturday to take on the Grizzlies of Franklin College. First touch will be at 1 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Franklin. The Fightin' Quakers (5-2-0) are on a two-game winning streak after taking down Manchester and Mt. St. Joseph this past week. The Grizzlies (2-4-0) enter Saturday's match hoping to end a two game skid.

The Coaches: Nick Kinder, a 2010 alumnus and four-year member of the men's soccer program, enters his first year as head women's soccer coach. He has spent the last four seasons as the program's top assistant coach including the last six weeks leading the program on an interim basis following the retirement of 30-year Head Coach Steve Spirk. He is just the fifth head coach in the 37-year history of the program as a varsity sport. Jennifer Jackson was announced as the head coach of the Franklin women's soccer program on Feb. 18, 2022. A former Division I student-athlete, Jackson brings experience as a player and coach from all levels of college soccer to Franklin. Her most recent stop in the college coaching ranks was at Johnson & Wales University in Colorado from 2013-17, where she helped build the women's soccer program from scratch and turn the Wildcats into a conference tournament contender.

The Players: Freshman Shannon Jamieson has four goals and five assists through seven games. Maddie Scott broke a small scoring drought and put two on the board against Mt. St. Joseph. Elaina Paige and Jaiden Baker lead the Grizzlies with two goals each.
