Women's Soccer Heads to DePauw for Final Non-Conference Game on Tuesday

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's soccer team heads to Depauw University for its final non-conference contest of the season on Tuesday. Kickoff from Greencastle, Indiana, is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and DePauw. The Fightin' Quakers enter the matchup with a 6-2-0 record after a 1-0 victory at Franklin College on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers are 3-2-3 on the season and most recently fallen to Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) member Ohio Northern University 2-0 on the road on Saturday.

The Coaches: Nick Kinder, a 2010 alumnus and four-year member of the men's soccer program, enters his first year as head women's soccer coach. He has spent the last four seasons as the program's top assistant coach including the last six weeks leading the program on an interim basis following the retirement of 30-year Head Coach Steve Spirk. He is just the fifth head coach in the 37-year history of the program as a varsity sport. Cristin Allen is in her fourth season as Depauw's head coach. She led the Tigers to a 12-6-2 in her first season in the fall of 2019.

The Players: Shannon Jamieson leads Wilmington offensively with five goals and five assists for a total of 15 point. Two of the those goals are game-winning goals including at Franklin over the weekend. A trio of Quakers - Alex Wilson, Maddie Scott and Elizabeth Matthews - have also netted multiple goals while goalkeeper Lauren Galloway has tallied five shutouts and carries a 0.75 goals against average. Annalise Grammel has scored three goals and assisted on two others to lead the Tigers. 

Series History: Wilmington is 2-4-0 against DePauw since the 1994 season. Additionally, the two teams have not met since the 2003 season. More information on the series history can be viewed by visiting the link above.
