Men's Lacrosse Falls to Mount Union

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team was defeated by the Mount Union Purple Raiders by a final score of 26-1.

While the weather in downtown Alliance was quite inviting, but the hosting Purple Raiders did not give the Quakers a warm welcome. Mount Union would score 12 first quarter goals with leading scorer Alek Kungle adding four goals to his season total. Mount Union would add six goals in the second quarter and would head into halftime up 18-0. 

Garrett Murrell scored in the fourth quarter to break the shutout, it was Murrell's seventh goal of the season. Mount Union won 23 of the 31 faceoffs and outshot the Quakers 55-13. 

Up next, Wilmington will travel to Marietta College for a Friday game to face the Pioneers at 5 p.m.
