Men's Lacrosse Hosts Earlham in Home Opener

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team (1-1) hosts Earlham College (0-0) in its home opener Wednesday at 7 p.m. 

The Teams: Wilmington and Earlham. The Quakers are 1-1 on the season after dropping their last road game against Bethany College. Earlham will be playing in its first game of the season Wednesday night. 

The Coaches: Wilmington has new leadership in the form of Head Coach Garyck Todd. The 2016 WC alumnus was a four-year member of the program and was a part of the team's first winning season (9-7) in 2015. He previously served as the head coach at Pickerington Central High School for the past three seasons. The 2021-22 season will be Blake Keenan's third as head coach of the Earlham men's lacrosse program, after being named the program's head coach on May 30, 2019. Keenan came to Earlham from North Central College, where he served as an assistant coach for three seasons from 2017 to 2019.

The Players: Austin Young and Justen Shaw have both had outstanding starts to this season, Austin Young has scored seven goals while Justen Shaw has scored five goals to pair with his two assists. Garrett Murrell has scored in each contest for a total of three goals. Logan Rehling was Earlham's top goal scorer last season, finding the back of the net 22 times.
