WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team (2-12, 0-6) has an away game versus the Capital Comets (6-7, 3-3) on Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm.

The Teams: Wilmington and Capital. Capital has had its share of issues on the road this season but have been able to protect their home field well, winning five of their eight home games. Wilmington has been trying to get healthy the past few weeks with several key players sidelined. Through this tough stretch the Quakers have never failed to come out fighting.

The Coaches: Wilmington has new leadership in the form of Head Coach Garyck Todd. The 2016 WC alumnus was a four-year member of the program and was a part of the team's first winning season (9-7) in 2015. He previously served as the head coach at Pickerington Central High School for the past three seasons. AJ Smith is at the helm for the Capital Comets, this is Smith's second year at Capital. Coach Smith comes to Capital after most recently serving as the top assistant at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia.

The Players: Gabe Shaw and Joe Norton were the lone Quaker goal scorers in each of the past two games. The Quakers will look to get back to their scoring ways on Saturday. Capital boasts a 30 goal scorer in Mason Spaulding. The prolific Comet offense rosters Evan Frund and Brendan Pelton who have each scored more than 20 times this season.
