WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team hung with Franciscan University for the majority of the first quarter, but the Barons ended the period scoring four goals in the final two minutes and rode that momentum to a 19-6 victory at Williams Stadium on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon.

Franciscan continued their onslaught and in a repeat of quarter one outscored the Quakers 7-1. Justen Shaw scored the Quakers lone goal of the second quarter making the score 14-2 at the half.

Wilmington played the second half even, but was unable to cut into the Barons' lead. The final score from Williams Stadium was 19-6. Franciscan University now sits at 2-1 and Wilmington's record is 2-2 after this week's games.
