WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team (2-1) hosts the Franciscan University Barons Saturday in Williams Stadium at 1 p.m. this Saturday.

The Teams: Wilmington and Franciscan. The Fightin' Quakers took an early lead on Wednesday and held on late to earn its first home victory of the season over Earlham College 9-7 on Wednesday. The Barons sits at 1-1 on the season after defeating La Roche College Wednesday.

The Coaches: Wilmington has new leadership in the form of Head Coach Garyck Todd. The 2016 WC alumnus was a four-year member of the program and was a part of the team's first winning season (9-7) in 2015. He previously served as the head coach at Pickerington Central High School for the past three seasons. Peter Rosaschi has been at the helm of the Franciscan men's lacrosse program since its inception in 2013. The 2022 season will be his 10th year as head coach of the Barons.

The Players: Junior Austin Bondurant and Senior Austin Young lead the way for the Quakers with seven goals each. Justen Shaw has scored six times to go along with three assists. Gavin Cook has scored 12 times for the Barons.

Series History: Wilmington is 4-0 against Francisican in the last decade. Most recently, the Quakers won a 15-8 contest in Steubenville on March 19, 2016. More information on the series history can be viewed by visiting the links above.
