WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's basketball team hosts Muskingum University of Wednesday in search of an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) series sweep. Tip-off from Hermann Court is slated for 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Muskingum. The Fightin' Quakers are 8-12 overall and an even 7-7 in OAC play after a near wire-to-wire victory over Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday. The Fighting Muskies are 8-13 on the season and 3-11 in conference competition after a 78-69 loss to Heidelberg University on Saturday.

The Coaches: K.C. Hunt is in his 13th season as head coach of Wilmington's men's basketball program. Hunt, who has coached two All-Americans and seven of the school's 1,000-point scorers, led the Quakers to OAC Tournament titles in 2010 and 2014. He garnered Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year honors for guiding Wilmington to OAC Tournament title and a win in the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2010. Travis Schwab, a four-time First Team All-NCAC selection as a student-athlete at Ohio Wesleyan University, is in his fifth season as Muskingum's head coach.

The Players: Jeffery Mansfield leads the Quakers in scoring at 18.5 points per game and rebounding at 4.5 boards per contest. DaeShawn Jackson, who poured in a game-high 25 points in Wilmington's win at Otterbein University, scores 15.8 points per contest. Abdul Kanu, who poured in a career-high 24 points in the win over BW, and Colin Myers both score in double figures also grab over four rebounds per game. Payton Smith leads the squad in assists at 4.3 per 40 minutes. Marcus Dempsey, who was held to just 13 points in the team's first meeting, leads the OAC in scoring at 30.7 points per game. The junior also joins Alex Masinelli to grab five rebounds a game.

Tale of the Tape: Points per game – Wilmington 76.3, Muskingum 75.2; opponents' points per game – Wilmington 77.7, Muskingum 80.0; field goal percentage – Wilmington 44.5, Muskingum 42.9; three-point percentage – Wilmington 32.8, Muskingum 36.1; free throw percentage – Wilmington 67.7, Muskingum 75.3; rebounds per game – Wilmington 31.4, Muskingum 35.2; assist-to-turnover ratio – Wilmington 1.75, Muskingum, 0.81.

Buffalo Wild Wings Night: Wilmington's Buffalo Wild Wings will be at the game giving out free wings. Additionally, fans are encouraged to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings before and after the game as a portion of the proceeds will go to WC's athletics department.
