OAC Coaches Pick Men's Basketball to Finish Fourth

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's basketball team was picked to finish fourth by the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) coaches as the conference released its annual preseason coaches poll on Tuesday.

The University of Mount Union was picked as the preseason favorite with 79 points and seven first-place votes. One coach picked Marietta College to win while two others have John Carroll University as their champion. The Pioneers and Blue Streaks finished second and third respectively.

Wilmington finished with 56 points while Baldwin Wallace University had 53 points. Capital University, Muskingum University and Heidelberg University were the next group while Ohio Northern University and Otterbein University closed out the poll.

The Fightin' Quakers, who came within a game of their first regular season OAC title a season ago, open the 2019-20 campaign with the a pair of Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) foes in Transylvania University and Mount St. Joseph University this weekend.
