WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's basketball team opens Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play on Saturday when Heidelberg University comes to Fred Raizk Arena for a 3 p.m. contest.

The Teams: Wilmington and Heidelberg. The Fightin' Quakers are 1-5 and looking to snap a three-game losing streak after falling in two games at Christopher Newport University last weekend. The Student Princes are 1-5 on the season after opening up conference play with a 61-60 loss to Baldwin Wallace University on Wednesday.

The Coaches: K.C. Hunt is in his 13th season as head coach of Wilmington's men's basketball program. Hunt, who has coached two All-Americans and seven of the school's 1,000-point scorers, led the Quakers to OAC Tournament titles in 2010 and 2014. He garnered Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year honors for guiding Wilmington to OAC Tournament title and a win in the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2010. Andy Bucheit, a former Marietta College assistant and alumnus of Wittenberg University, is in his seventh season as Heidelberg's head coach.

The Players: A quartet of Wilmington individuals – Jeffery Mansfield, DaeShawn Jackson, Abdul Kanu and Colin Myers – all score in double figures while Mansfield leading the team at 18.0 points per game. Jackson, while scoring 14.3 points per contest, leads the team with 5.5 boards per game. Payton Smith leads the squad in assists, dishing out 4.3 per 40 minutes. Dylan Woods has been the Student Princes top scorer averaging 14.8 points per game. Three Heidelberg individuals – Prince Benson, Alex Arellano and Tamal Watkins – grab over 4.5 rebounds per game.
