WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's basketball team, fresh off a week of practice, will face a road test against The College of Wooster for the Al Van Wie/Wooster Rotary Classic on Saturday. Tip-off from Timken Gymnasium is scheduled for 4 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Wooster. The Fightin' Quakers are an even 1-1 on the young 2019-20 season having fallen to Transylvania University 87-78 and defeating Mount St. Joseph University 83-69. The Fighting Scots are 2-0 this year after a 98-70 win over Hiram College on Wednesday.

The Coaches: K.C. Hunt is in his 13th season as head coach of Wilmington's men's basketball program. Hunt, who has coached two All-Americans and seven of the school's 1,000-point scorers, led the Quakers to OAC Tournament titles in 2010 and 2014. He garnered Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year honors for guiding Wilmington to OAC Tournament title and a win in the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2010. Steve Moore, who has coached Wooster to over 750 victories the last 32 seasons, is in his final year as the Scots' head coach.

The Players: A trio of Quakers - Jeffery Mansfield, Abdul Kanu and DaeShawn Jackson - all score in double figures including Mansfield who leads the team at 16.5 points per game. Payton Smith dishes out 5.5 assists per game while rebounding a team effort as Wilmington has four individuals who grab over four rebounds a contest. Danyon Henry leads the Scots in scoring averaging 26 points per game in 35 minutes. Dontae Williams grabs 8.5 rebounds per game along with his 18.5 points per contest.

Tale of the Tape: Points per game - Wilmington 80.5, Wooster 104.0; opponents points per game - Wilmington 78.0, Wooster 85.0; field goal percentage - Wilmington 45.3, Wooster 51.5; three point percentage - Wilmington 20.4 Wooster, 44.2; free throw percentage - Wilmington 74.5, Wooster 86.4; rebounds per game - Wilmington 33.0, Wooster 40.5; assist-to-turnover ratio - Wilmington 1.00 Wooster 1.34.
