TIFFIN, Ohio - On day two of the Tiffin Track Carnival, the Wilmington College men's track and field team saw a 21-year old school record beaten.

The distance medley relay (DMR) squad of Simon Heys, George Rickett, Aidan Henson and Dane Klosterman beat the previous record in the DMR that stood since 2001. The group finished in first place and claimed a new top time of 10:25.25. Heys has some experience with breaking records, however this is the first record for Henson, Rickett and Klosterman.

Brant Haines was able to better his previous best in the 800-meter run with a 2:10.03 finish. On a day full of relays, Haines was one of few to improve in an individual event.

Rounding out the day for the Quakers was a sixth place finish in the not-so-common 4x800-meter relay. The crew of Eric Reynolds, Cohen Frost Blake Haines and Josh Cyrus combined for a time of 8:24.41.

Wilmington will stay close to home as they travel to Mount St. Joseph next weekend.
