GENEVA, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's track & field team ended the season at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships with Simon Heys running solo in the 10,000-meter run on Thursday evening.
At the track of Spire Institute, Heys finished 12th in a time of 31:13.86. Compared to his 2021 appearance in the 10,000-meter run, Heys ran one place better and five seconds faster.
"I have a lot to work on this offseason," Heys commented. "I want to come back mentally and physically stronger."
After a season of multiple school records and personal bests, Heys looks forward to the 2022 cross country season in the fall.
