JJ Durr and Blake Jamison Take Home Top 3 Finishes at Polar Bear Qualifier

ADA, Ohio - The Wilmington College Men's Track & Field Team sent two individuals to Ohio Northern to compete in the Polar Bear Qualifier. This was the "Last Chance" meet to acquire qualifying marks or better previous marks for indoor nationals. 

JJ Durr headed into the day ranked in the top-20 in DIII in weight throw and held on to his spot with a third place finish. Durr tossed a 56' 1.7" in the first set of three throws in the first flight. After the conclusion of the meet, he sat in 11th in the nation and is the third highest ranked freshman. Blake Jamison came into the day ranked in the top-40 in DIII in shot put and placed third in the event. Jamison launched a 49' 5.3" on his first attempt, however narrowly missed the mark to qualify for nationals. 

The Quakers have a few athletes traveling to compete in the NCAA Indoor Championships next weekend in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
