WESTERVILLE, Ohio - Wilmington College men's track & field senior Joe Shuga is this week's Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men's Athlete of the Week. This is the senior's first time receiving the honor.

 

Shuga has started out the season full speed and has only looked better as the season progresses. At the Steemer Showcase, Shuga showcased his power with a personal best and second place finish in weight throw with a distance of 58' 11.5". This mark is just shy of the current school record mark of 61' 4.25". The fifth-year senior followed that performance with a seventh-place finish in shot put with a heave of 45' 10".
