WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's track and field team heads to the newly built indoor track named "The Steemer" for the Steemer Showcase in Wittenberg.  After competing in the first meet there in 2019, the Quakers are excited for great mid-season competition.

The Schedule: Field events take off at 11:00 a.m. with track events running at noon.

The Teams: The Quakers will be met by at least a dozen other schools, including teams within the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC).

The Coach: Ron Combs continues his 24th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

Who to Watch: In a stacked 5,000-meter race with over 60 athletes entered, the trio of Simon Heys, George Rickett and Noah Tobin look to run amongst the leaders. Aidan Henson, running solo for the team in the 800-meter run, is head to head against a group all under two minutes in the event. What once was a trio in the throws squad is now a quintet with Joe Shuga, Andrew Pacifico, Nate Marcum, JJ Durr and Justin Shuga all in the top six in weight throw going into the meet.
