WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's track & field team heads to one of, if not the largest,  meets of the season in Tiffin, Ohio. The 2022 Tiffin Track Carnival will have split action between Heidelberg University and Tiffin University.  

The Schedule: 

Day One - Field events will start early in the morning at 9:00 AM with track events shooting off at noon.

Day Two - Field events will start at 10:30 AM with track events running on a rolling schedule starting at 12:30 PM.

The Teams: Wilmington will be joined by 29 teams: Albion, Ashland, Baldwin Wallace, Bowling Green, Bryant & Stratton (Ohio), Capital, Denison, Findlay, Grace, Heidelberg, Hillsdale, Indiana Tech, John Carroll, Kent State, Kenyon, Lake Erie, Lourdes, Malone, Mount Union, Northwood, Ohio Dominican, Otterbein, Saint Leo, Stetson, Tiffin, Toledo, Ursuline (Ohio), Walsh, Wittenberg

The Coach: Ron Combs continues his 24th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

Who to Watch: Simon Heys will be headlining day one as he looks to run in a fast 5,000-meter run.  Heys is coming off of a victory in the 1,500-meter run last weekend. The throws squad led by Blake Jamison and Joe Shuga will look to continue their season of dominance. The hammer throw squad is ranked number one in the country in Division III heading into this weekend. Dane Klosterman will be running in the top section of the 400-meter hurdles.
