WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's track & field team will open the 2021-2022 outdoor track season at the Heidelberg Invitational after weather delayed it last weekend. 

The Schedule: Field events will start early at 10:00 AM with track events shooting off at 11:15 AM. 

The Teams: The Quakers will be joined by a handful of Division II & III competition.

The Coach: Ron Combs continues his 24th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

Who to Watch: Aidan Henson is one of the top seeds in the 400-meter dash and the 800-meter run after racing in two open events at the OAC Indoor Championships. George Rickett and Noah Tobin are top of the list in the 5,000-meter run as the duo looks to finish side by side. The Quaker throw squad opens the outdoor season after a very successful indoor season with Joe Shuga, Nathan Marcum and Andrew Pacifico leading the way in hammer throw and Blake Jamison in shot put.
