Men's Track & Field Starts the New Year at MSJ Invitational

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's track and field team starts off the new year close to home at the Mount St. Joseph University Invitational in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is at Centennial Fieldhouse where the team looks to continue the indoor season. 

The Schedule: Action begins at 11:00 a.m.

The Teams: The Quakers will be joined by hosts Mount Saint Joseph along with other cross-conference competition. 

The Coach: Ron Combs continues his 24th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

Who to Watch: Leading the charge for the Quakers is top seeded Anthony Gilmore in High Jump and top seeded Aidan Henson in the 400-meter dash. George Rickett and Eric Reynolds headline the distance squad as they look to lead the way in the mile. Simon Heys, who garnered All-American honors during the cross country season, will compete in a 3,000-meter run at Otterbein University.
