UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio - The Wilmington College baseball team continues OAC play this weekend in a double-header at John Carroll University on Saturday.

The Schedule: The Fightin' Quakers and Blue Streaks will face off in a twinbill with game one starting at 1 p.m. and game two to follow shortly after.

The Teams: Wilmington and John Carroll. The Quakers are 11-9 on the season after splitting the twinbill with Baldwin Wallace on Tuesday. The Blue Streaks are 7-10 overall coming off of a split doubleheader against Muskingum.

The Coaches: Tony Vittorio, who formerly led the University of Dayton's baseball program for 18 seasons, enters his fourth season as Wilmington's head coach. For the first time in nearly a decade in 2021, the Quakers didn't finish 10th in the OAC, turning in an eighth-place finish with a 10-24 conference mark. John Carroll is led by head coach Bobby Bell who is entering his third season as head coach of the program.

The Hitters:  The Quakers are led by a quartet of hitters all batting over .350 with 70-plus at-bats: Evan KelseyJesse RelifordCaleb Scott and Jared Lammert. Kelsey leads the team in hits (38) and stolen bases (14) with Scott sporting a .419 average and team leading 25 runs-batted-in. Reliford leads the team in runs with 27 scored and Lammert claims a .500 on base percentage with almost 80 at bats. The Blue Streaks are led by a trio of hitters that are all batting over .300 with 45-plus at-bats: Benjamin Surman, Landen Glaser, and Joe Olsavsky.

The Pitchers: Aaron Boster leads Wilmington in innings pitched with 38 innings while claiming a 3.52 earned run average with a 3-2 record on the season. Reliford has been consistent for the Quakers as a closer with two saves and a 1.50 earned run average as well as a 2-0 record. John Carroll's bullpen is led by Mitchell Midea and Matthew Aukerman, both who claim a record of 1-1 on the season with 20-plus innings pitched each.
