Muskingum Defeats Men's Lacrosse 18-4

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team fell to Muskingum University 18-4 in an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contest held at Williams Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Quakers were outscored in every period starting with a four to one deficit in the first period.  

The Muskies pulled away at the end of the half, going up 12-3 and out-shooting the Quakers 27-9. The visitors continued their shooting run into the third and fourth periods as Spencer Zecchini led the way with three goals and one assist for Muskingum. He was assisted by four others scoring at least two goals in the game.  

Austin Bondurant scored two goals for Wilmington while Reed Beavers racked up 19 saves. The Quakers lost the fight in the ground only winning 12 ground balls to Muskingum's 21.

Wilmington (0-5) will take on Marietta College next Saturday at home. First faceoff is slated for 1 p.m.
