GAME PROGRAM

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team will take on Otterbein this Saturday at home in Williams Stadium at 1 p.m. This is the second game for both teams in conference play after both losing their season openers.

The Teams: Wilmington and Otterbein. Wilmington will look to even out their record after losing the home opener to Capital last Saturday at Williams Stadium. The Fightin' Quakers shot 33% in their last outing and won 52% of their clear attempts. While Otterbein only shot 29%, however they did successfully clear 21 out of 24 attempts in the loss to Ohio Northern.

The Coaches: Jeff Arneson is in his fourth year leading the Wilmington men's lacrosse program. Prior to leading the Quakers to a 5-9 record two seasons ago, Arneson, a Wilmington High School alumnus, spent six seasons as head coach at Thiel College (Pennsylvania). He will face off against Colin Hartnett, who stands in, in his 11th season as head men's lacrosse coach at Otterbein. The Cardinals are 96-75 since he started the program back in 2010. They have earned one OAC regular season title and appeared in the NCAA tournament three different times and won two OAC tournament championships.

The Players: The Quakers will again look to Austin Young and Justen Shaw to get things going. Shaw had the only two goals off only two shots in the loss to Capital, shooting 100%. Xander Seal led the way for Otterbein last week with 5 total points. The senior scored three goals and assisted on two others. Giving him a 50% shooting percentage after attempting six shots in the loss to Ohio Northern by one.
