WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's basketball team rounds out the first half of Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play with a home game against Otterbein University on Wednesday. Tip-off from Fred Raizk Arena is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Otterbein. The Quakers enter the game with a 5-10 overall record and a 1-7 conference mark after a narrow 66-64 defeat at No. 10 John Carroll University on Saturday. The Cardinals are 9-6 overall and 3-5 in OAC games after dropping a 74-65 decision to No. 3 University of Mount Union on Saturday. 

The Coaches: Micah Mills enters his eighth season with the Wilmington men's basketball program with the 2022-23 campaign being his first as head coach. He helped WC to a 17-8 record during the 2018-19 season and came within a game of the program's first OAC regular season championships. Mills, a graduate of Ohio Valley University, spent three seasons as an assistant coach at fellow OAC member Otterbein University before coming to Wilmington. Andy Winters is in his fourth season as Otterbein's head coach in 2022-23. He led the Cardinals to a 17-8 record last season and formerly spent five years as the top assistant at Capital University.

The Players: Wilmington is led by a pair of frontcourt players as Abdul Kanu and Obed Achirem both score in double figures. Kanu leads the way at 14.9 points per game after a double-double in WC's loss at John Carroll while Achirem nearly notches a double-double per game at 11.6 points and 9.0 rebounds. Sophomores Bryce Bird and Domenic Farley assist on over two baskets a game for the Quakers. Cam Evans is the OAC's leading scorer at 20 points per game while Dallas Patrick, Alex Hannah and Julian Heckman also score in double figures for Otterbein. Patrick and Hannah both grab 6.3 rebounds per game.
