Colin Echelberry Joins Men's Basketball Coaching Staff

WILMINGTON, Ohio - Wilmington College Head Men's Basketball Coach Micah Mills has announced the hiring of Colin Echelberry as an assistant coach with the program. He will work primarily with wings and be the lead recruiter for the program in the Columbus area.

"I am extremely excited to strengthen our staff with Coach Echelberry as he is coming in with valued coaching experience from the high school level and experience in coaching with me," said Mills. "It also cannot go unnoted that he has experience and respect for the OAC being a former player of mine while I was graduate assistant at Otterbein University. Coach Echelberry is a relationship-based coach that loves giving his players confidence! Our guys are going to love working with him."

Echelberry comes to Wilmington having been a high school coach at Hilliard Davidson High School as junior varsity head coach from 2019-21 where his teams improved in wins total each year from 12-10 to 14-6 to 17-4 the final season. Echelberry was responsible for developing practice plans, player workouts, coordinated summer camps and aided the varsity program in scouting and other duties. He also worked with Mills in the AAU circuit with the Mid Ohio Pumas beginning in 2020.

"I am super excited to join the staff at Wilmington College led by Coach Mills as his vision and passion for the program is something to be very excited about," said Echelberry. "I cannot be more proud to join a program where their mission is to invest in these young men both on the court while also setting them up for success after college. I can't wait to get to work!"

Echelberry, who has worked as Dick's Sporting Goods since graduating from Otterbein in 2014, resides in Columbus with his wife, Jada.
