WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's basketball team continues its Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) slate with a home game against Ohio Northern University at Fred Raizk Arena on Wednesday evening. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Ohio Northern (ONU). The Quakers enter the game with an even 3-3 record having most recently dropped their OAC opener 83-82 at Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday. The Polar Bears are also 3-3 and 0-1 in conference games after a 73-59 home loss to Marietta College on Saturday.

The Coaches: Micah Mills enters his eighth season with the Wilmington men's basketball program with the 2022-23 campaign being his first as head coach. He helped WC to a 17-8 record during the 2018-19 season and came within a game of the program's first OAC regular season championships. Mills, a graduate of Ohio Valley University, spent three seasons as an assistant coach at fellow OAC member Otterbein University before coming to Wilmington. Neal Young, a 2008 alumnus of Anderson University (Indiana), is in his first season as ONU's head coach. He has spent time as a head coach at both Covenant College (Georgia) and Goshen College (Indiana).

The Players: Wilmington is led by a pair of frontcourt players as Abdul Kanu and Obed Achirem both score in double figures. Kanu leads the way at 14.8 points per game while Achirem nearly averages a double-double with 9.3 rebounds per 40 minutes. ONU also features a duo that scores over 10 points per game as CJ Napier and Landon Long score 15.8 and 11.5 points per game respectively. Napier is also the Polar Bears' top rebounder at 7.0 boards per contest.
