WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's indoor track and field team heads to Capital University on Friday to begin the two-day Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championship Meet.

To participate in this meet, student-athletes must have met a qualifying standard in their event. Competition will begin at 12 p.m. on Friday and at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

In last year's event, the Fightin' Quakers finished eighth and will hope to improve their place of finish this year.

In the lineup, Lauren Stacy has the top seed in both the shot put (13.44m) and the weight throw (17.33m). In the shot put, she's backed by teammate Kayli Sullivan who's ranked ninth (11.71m) and in the weight throw by Zara Zeller who sits fifteenth (13.02m).

Emma Burke should also play a big role in the meet. She's got the fifth seed in the 60-meter hurdles (9.60).

Also looking to make an impact are: Lisa Bailey who is ranked eleventh in the long jump (4.95m) and eighteenth in the 60-meter dash (8.28), and Ryan Allen who sits sixteenth in the pole vault (2.82m).

All of the Quaker relay teams - 4-x-200-meter, 4-x-400-meter, and the distance medley - should also bring in some points for the team as they're all currently ranked in the top eight.
