Women's Track and Field Headed to Wittenberg

WILMINGTON, Ohio- The Wilmington College women's outdoor track and field team will travel to Wittenberg University to compete in the "Coach Rob" Invitational on Friday.

The Coach: Ron Combs enters his 17th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

WC Student-Athletes to Watch: The throwing duo of Lauren Stacy and Kayli Sullivan led the team in last week's meet and will look to find success again this weekend. Emma Burke led the team on the track, specifically in the hurdling events, and hopes to improve her time this weekend. Lisa Bailey led the team in the long jump in the season-opening meet and will look to continue advancing.
