Women's Track and Field Earns Eleventh at All-Ohio

DELAWARE, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's track and field team traveled to the All-Ohio Outdoor Championships hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday. Of the 19 competing teams, the Fightin' Quakers finished eleventh with 21 points.

Emma Burke led the team on the track, earning the team's only top-15 finish. Burke took sixth-place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.25.

In the field events, Lauren Stacy paved the way earning second-place in the shot put (12.21 meters), third-place in the hammer throw (48.59 meters), and fifth-place in the discus throw (40.89 meters).

She was backed by Kayli Sullivan who achieved thirteenth-place in the hammer throw with a toss of 40.83 meters and fourteenth-place in the shot put with a mark of 10.52 meters.  

Wilmington heads to the Jesse Owens Classic in Columbus, Ohio on Friday.
