WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's outdoor track and field team heads to Ohio Northern University on Friday to begin the two-day Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championship Meet.

To participate in this meet, student-athletes must have met a qualifying standard in their event. Competition will begin at 12 p.m. on Friday and at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

In last year's event, the Fightin' Quakers finished eighth and will hope to improve their place of finish this year.

In the lineup, Lauren Stacy sits second in the discus throw (43.61m), the shot put (12.67m), and the hammer throw (50.34m). In the shot put and discus she's backed by Kayli Sullivan who sits seventh (11.57m) and ninth (35.82m), respectively, and in the hammer throw by Zara Zeller who sits seventh (42.94m) and Sullivan who's ninth (40.83m).

Emma Burke should also play a big role in the meet. She's got the sixth seed in the 400-meter hurdles (1:07.02) and the ninth seed in the 100-meter hurdles (16.17).

Lisa Bailey also looks to make an impact as she sits ninth in the long jump (4.94m).

Both Kennedy Horn and Morgan Loomis sit within the top-ten marks of the javelin throw.

All of the Quaker relay teams - 4-x-100-meter, 4-x-400-meter, and the 4-x-800-meter - should also bring in some points for the team as they're all currently ranked in the top eight.
