Women's Track & Field Faces Off at Heidelberg

WILMINGTON, Ohio -  Wilmington will be sending the women's team off to Tiffin, Ohio to compete in the Greg Tyson Jr. Invitational on April 10th.  

The Schedule:  Events will start early, 10 a.m. for the field events followed by track events at 11 a.m.

The Teams:  At Hoernemann Stadium, Wilmington will be joined by hosts Heidelberg as well as Ohio Northern, Baldwin Wallace and Marietta. 

The Coach: Ron Combs continues his 23rd season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

Who to Watch:  Emma Burke continues to hurdle through her senior campaign as she competes in the 100-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles. Milena Wahl toes the line in a hot 1,500-meter race as she eyes another top three finish for her season. Last but not least, Kayli Sullivan looks to attack the field in the same three events she took the victory in last week: shot put, discus and hammer throw.
