Women's Track & Field Travels to Capital for their Second Meet of the Season

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's track and field team will continue its 2021 season with an indoor meet at Capital University on Sunday.

The Schedule: Field Events are set to begin at 11 a.m.  Track Events will follow at 1 p.m.  

The Teams: Wilmington will be joined by host Capital alongside Muskingum University and Heidelberg University.

The Coach: Ron Combs continues his 23rd season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

Who to Watch: Wilmington, after traveling with a small squad last week, will be close to full strength this weekend.  Two athletes will be making their 2021 indoor season debuts: Milena Wahl in the 3000-meter run and Sidney Fields in the 400-meter dash and the 60 hurdles.  Kayli Sullivan, who led the Quaker women in both shot put and weight throw last weekend, will be competing in the shot put and weight throw.
