Women's Track & Field Opens Indoor Season at Otterbein Sunday

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's track and field team kicks off its 2021 season with an indoor meet at Otterbein University on Sunday.

The Schedule: Field events are slated to begin at 11 a.m. while competition on the track begins at noon.

The Teams: Wilmington will be joined by host Otterbein alongside John Carroll University, Capital University and Ohio Northern University.

The Coach: Ron Combs enters his 23rd season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

Who to Watch: Kayli Sullivan will compete in the shot put and weight throw while Lily Williford will compete in the pole vault. Madison Dietz is slated to jump in the triple and long jumps while Miranda Gibson will run in the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes.
