CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's track & field team finished seventh in a field of primarily NCAA Division I and Division II institutions at the Cedarville University Invitational on Friday evening.
The Fightin' Quakers had four events that scored in the invitational including Emma Burke's fifth-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.54 seconds. Allison Helmke was the other individual to score for Wilmington, placing 11th in the mile run with a time of 5:56.63.
Both Wilmington's 4-x-200-meter and 4-x-400-meter relay teams scored. The 4-x-200-meter relay team of Burke, Cheyenne Rhodes, Sidney Fields and Amber LaRotonda placed third with a time of 1:55.90 while the 4-x-400-meter relay squad of Burke, Rhodes, Katie Hughes and Sidney Fields took fourth with a time of 4:28.67.
Wilmington continues its indoor season at the All-Ohio Indoor Meet hosted by Otterbein University next Saturday.
