WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College wrestling team heads to Case Western Reserve University for the NCAA Central Region Championships this weekend.
The Schedule: The Quakers will face off against the rest of the Central Region in a two-day event on Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26. Competition on day one begins with preliminary and first-round matches at 11 a.m. while day two is also slated for an 11 a.m. start.
The Coaches: Chris Basford enters his first year as WC's head wrestling coach in 2022-23. Basford has experience coaching at multiple institutions including Limestone College (South Carolina), Maryville Univerity (St. Louis) and the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Most recently, he led Limestone to a 10-4 mark as interim coach in 2021-22.
