Wrestling Falls to No. 4 Baldwin Wallace

RESULTS

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College wrestling team closed out the dual meeting portion of its schedule with a 36-24 defeat to No. 4 Baldwin Wallace University on Tuesday evening.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Wilmington and Baldwin Wallace agreed on a format that featured both teams weighing in at their respective institutions prior to the match. The Yellow Jackets won six weight classes via forfeit and the Quakers won four matches via forfeit. The complete match results are listed above.

Garrett Simmons (157-pound), Adrian Salamone (165-pound), Alexander Ruth (174-pound) and Mo Sissoko (285-pound) claimed the wins for WC with BW winning the other six flights. 

Wilmington will return to action at the NCAA Central Region Championships hosted by Case Western Reserve University on Feb. 24-25.


*Note - The Wilmington department of athletics and wrestling program will honor its seniors at halftime of the women's basketball game vs. Otterbein University, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
