WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College wrestling team heads to Northeast Ohio on Sunday for the Storm Open hosted by Lake Erie College. Matches are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
The Teams: Wilmington will be joined by host Lake Erie along with a plethora of other institutions including: Alderson Broaddus University, Ashland University, Clarion University, Edinboro University, Fairmont State University, Gannon University, Notre Dame College (Ohio), Ohio State University, Seton Hill University (Pennsylvania), Toledo University and Wheeling University.
The Coach: Chris Basford enters his first year as WC's head wrestling coach in 2022-23. Basford has experience coaching at multiple institutions including Limestone College (South Carolina), Maryville Univerity (St. Louis) and the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Most recently, he led Limestone to a 10-4 mark as interim coach in 2021-22.
