WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College volleyball team returns to Fred Raizk Arena for the first time in nearly two weeks when Bluffton University comes to down for a 7 p.m. contest.

The Teams: Wilmington and Bluffton. The Fightin' Quakers enter the match with a 2-11 record looking to return to winning ways following four defeats at the Hanover Invitational last weekend. The Beavers stand at 6-8 overall, but are coming off of a 3-1 weekend at the College of Wooster's Ginny Hunt Kilt Classic.

The Coaches: A new era of Wilmington volleyball has arrived Sophie Windover, a former collegiate player and assistant at Heidelberg University, takes over as head coach. She helped guide the Student Princes to a 21-8 record and an appearance in the AVCA Top 25 Poll. Steve Yarnell is in his 13th season as Bluffton's head volleyball coach. The Beavers had made several NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Tournaments under his direction including one victory in the opening round of the 2016 tournament.

The Players: Offensively, Sofia Thomas averaged 2.70 kills per set to lead Wilmington while three other Quakers – Sydney Geibel, Victoria Long and Joy Bebe – all average nearly a kill-and-a-half per game. Bebe also contributes defensively, tallying over a block per match on average. Setter Andie Dolven dishes out nearly eight assists per set while Blake O'Brien leads the back row with 4.84 digs per set. For Bluffton, both Cassidy Posey and Chloei Barnett average over two kills per set while Maddie White and Elle Price run the Beavers' 6-2 offense to the tune of nearly nine assists per set.

Series History: Wilmington is winless is six matches against Bluffton in the last decade with the Beavers claiming all six matches in straight sets. More information on the series history can be viewed by visiting the link above.
