Softball Wraps up Regular Season Play at Muskingum

NEW CONCORD, Ohio - The Wilmington College softball team ends their regular season Saturday with an OAC double-header at Muskingum University. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. with the second game following shortly after.

The Teams: Wilmington and Muskingum. The Fightin' Quakers are 12-18 overall with a 5-11 OAC record after falling to Otterbein this past weekend. The Muskies are 27-9 on the season with a 13-3 record in OAC play coming off two losses against Denison.

The Coaches: Beth Floyd is in her 15th season as Wilmington's softball head coach. She is the winningest softball coach in school history and also heads the College's coaching minor. Floyd has led the Quakers to the program's first winning season with a 20-16 record in 2013. Kari Winters is in her 12th season as head coach at Muskingum.

The Hitters: Judaea Wilson, Lindsey Carter and Hayley Suchland are atop the Wilmington lineup in most games as well as in the batting average category. Between the three of them, they combine for a total of 48 RBI's and 28 doubles. Suchland has a team-high 10 stolen bases as well. Muskingum is led by a duo of hitters batting over .400 – Madison Johnson and Haley Hawk. Johnson also leads the team with 14 stolen bases on the season.

The Pitchers: Alexis Stringfellow, Izzy Rothrock and Lindsey Carter have pitched the majority of innings in the circle for Wilmington with Stringfellow and Rothrock having pitched over 60 innings each. Stringfellow has a 2.50 ERA through 15 appearances while Rothrock has struck out 42 batters. The Muskies bullpen is led by Madelyn Thomas and Hannah Smith - they have combined for a total of 183 strikeouts with over 90 innings pitched each.
