WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College men's basketball team returns to Fred Raizk Arena on Wednesday evening for a date with Muskingum University in a 7 p.m. Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contest.

The Teams: Wilmington and Muskingum. The Fightin' Quakers are 8-10 overall and 4-8 in the OAC after having their three-game winning streak snapped with a 79-73 loss at the University of Mount Union on Saturday. The Fighting Muskies stand at 8-11 overall and an even 6-6 in conference play after upsetting No. 23 John Carroll University 112-103 on Saturday.

The Coaches: K.C. Hunt enters his 11th season as head coach of Wilmington's men's basketball program. Hunt, who has coached two All-Americans and seven of the school's 1,000-point scorers, led the Quakers to OAC Tournament titles in 2010 and 2014. He garnered Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year honors for guiding Wilmington to OAC Tournament title and a win in the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2010. Travis Schwab, second on the Ohio Wesleyan University career scoring list, is in his third season has head men's basketball coach at Muskingum.

The Players: Christian Jones leads Wilmington in scoring at 18.9 points per game. Nathan Scott (13.9 points per game) and Will Patrick (11.7 points per game) are the other Quakers who score in double figures. Andrew Russell grabs a team-high 4.1 rebounds per contest while D.J. Iles assists on over three Wilmington baskets per game. Marcus Dempsey, who averages 30 points per game for Muskingum, leads the OAC in scoring and currently sits third in all of NCAA Division III in the category. He most recently poured in a game-high 39 points on 11-of-19 shooting from the field and 13-of-14 from the free throw line in the Muskies win over John Carroll on Saturday. Devon Peart (12.5 points per game) also scores in double figures.

First Time Around: The Quakers won their first OAC game of the season at Muskingum on Jan. 10, defeating the Muskies 91-87.
