Men's Basketball Concludes Regular Season at Baldwin Wallace on Saturday

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College men's basketball team concludes its 2017-18 regular season with a 3 p.m. Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contest at Baldwin Wallace University (BW) on Saturday.

The Teams: Wilmington and BW. The Fightin' Quakers are 11-12 overall and 7-10 in OAC play after a critical 87-68 victory over Capital University on senior day on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets are 16-8 overall and 10-7 in conference competition after a 74-61 loss at the hands of the University of Mount Union on Wednesday.

The Coaches: K.C. Hunt enters his 11th season as head coach of Wilmington's men's basketball program. Hunt, who has coached two All-Americans and seven of the school's 1,000-point scorers, led the Quakers to OAC Tournament titles in 2010 and 2014. He garnered Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year honors for guiding Wilmington to OAC Tournament title and a win in the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2010. Tom Heil, who led the Yellow Jackets to the OAC Tournament championship game last season, is in his third season as head coach at BW.

The Players: Christian Jones leads Wilmington in scoring at 19.1 points per game while Nathan Scott and Will Patrick also score in double figures. Scott and Andrew Russell both grab four rebounds per game for the Quakers while Christian Jones and D.J. Iles combine to dish out nearly six assists a game. Three Yellow Jackets – Cam Kuhn, Jay Battle and Jake Fetherolf, all score in double figures for the Yellow Jackets. Kuhn leads the bunch at 18.4 points per game while Fetherolf grabs 9.6 boards per contest.

Tale of the Tape: Points per game – Wilmington 82.7, BW 77.8; opponents' points per game – Wilmington 81.8, BW 72.3; field goal percentage – Wilmington 43.0, BW 44.6; three-point percentage – Wilmington 37.1, BW 35.9; free throw percentage – Wilmington 79.4, BW 76.7; rebounds per game – Wilmington 31.7, BW 38.0; assist-to-turnover ratio – Wilmington 1.09, BW 1.06.

Recent History: Wilmington is 13-14 against BW in the last decade. The Yellow Jackets have won the last eight meetings, however. More information on the series history can be viewed by visiting the link above.

First Time Around: BW claimed an 87-69 victory over Wilmington at Fred Raizk Arena on Jan. 6.

OAC Tournament: Wilmington controls its own destiny for an OAC Tournament berth thanks the victory over Capital.
