WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's track & field team starts off the new year close to home at MSJ University. The MSJ Invitational will take place at the Centennial Fieldhouse as the Quakers enter the day ranked sixth in the OAC preseason coaches poll.            

The Schedule: The fieldhouse opens at 9:30 AM, with men's weight throw and the 5,000-meter run shooting off at 11:00 AM with women's events to follow. 

The Competition: The Quakers will face off against a small field of Division III teams.

The Coach: Ron Combs enters his 25th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

Who to Watch: Madison Dietz looks to start her 2023 season strong as she competes in four events: long jump, triple jump, 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash. Kylee Schafer and Rachel Spanfellner round off the sprints for the squad. Lexi Grice, Molly Hafer, Megan Roell and Abby Lodewyck will represent the throw squad.
