Wrestling Heads to Defiance on Sunday

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College wrestling team steps out of Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play on Sunday with a trip to Defiance College for a dual with the Yellow Jackets. The dual is a make-up from the originally-scheduled January 8 date and is slated to begin at 5 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Defiance. The Fightin' Quakers are in search of their first dual victory over the season after falling in three matches at the OAC duals hosted by Heidelberg University on Jan. 23. The Yellow Jackets most recently placed 27th-of-35 teams at the Pete Wilson Invitational hosted by Wheaton College (Illinois) on Jan. 28-29.

The Coaches: Justin Kihn enters his fourth season as the Head Coach for the Quakers. Kihn comes to Wilmington after graduating and being an assistant coach at Heidelberg University. As an athlete, Kihn was Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Wrestler of the Year his senior year, as well as Academic All-American and Division III All-American. Chandler Minnard is in his first season as Defiance's acting head coach.
