WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College wrestling team opens the New Year with an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) dual at Baldwin Wallace University on Wednesday. The match is slated to begin at 7 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Baldwin Wallace (BW). The Fightin' Quakers are 0-2 in dual meets having fallen to Muskingum University and John Carroll University in November of 2021. WC most recently competed at the Gator Boot Duals in Nashville, Tennessee. The Yellow Jackets are 2-0 in conference play with wins over nationally-ranked the University of Mount Union and Otterbein University. 

The Coaches: Justin Kihn enters his fourth season as the Head Coach for the Quakers. Kihn comes to Wilmington after graduating and being an assistant coach at Heidelberg University. As an athlete, Kihn was Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Wrestler of the Year his senior year, as well as Academic All-American and Division III All-American. He finished fourth nationally (in the 141-pound weight class) at the NCAA Championships. Jamie Gibbs is in his 11th season at BW.
