Haugen Ties Program Record During First Night of OAC Championships

(AKRON, Ohio) – The Wilmington College men's swimming team completed the first night of the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Swimming & Diving Championships in fourth place.

They competed in the 800 Yard Freestyle Relay and finished with a time of 7:03.47 for a fourth-place finish, just behind Ohio Northern University's 7:02.23. The Quakers team consisted of sophomore Sondre Haugen, junior Austin Reed, sophomore John Good, and senior Logan Lippert.

Haugen had a blazing first leg for Wilmington, swimming his 200 Yard Relay in 1:42.19 which tied the 200 Yard Freestyle program record that was set by David Hawk back during the 2015-16 season.

Reed finished his leg in 1:44.37, Good swam a 1:46.10, and Lippert finished with a 1:50.81.

The Quakers are currently competing in day two of the OAC Championships, with the finals taking place tonight at 6:30 P.M.
