14 Quakers Recognized as Winter Academic All-OAC

(WESTERVILLE, Ohio) – The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) announced their 2023-24 Winter Academic All-OAC honorees yesterday morning and Wilmington College had 14 student-athletes on the list across five different sports.

The Quakers men's basketball team had the most honorees with five. Honored for the second time in their careers were juniors Bryce Bird and Gavin Heimlich. Recognized for the first time in their Quakers career were sophomores Collin Barker, Zach McGuirt, and Jed Smith.

Wilmington wrestling had the second most athletes recognized with four. Senior Dillon Howard and junior Garrett Simmons were both honored for the second time in their careers. First time honorees for the Quakers were sophomores Tim Lewellen and Brayden Smith.

The Quakers men's and women's swimming teams both had two honorees. On the men's side, junior Austin Reed was recognized for the second time in his career and sophomore Sondre Haugen earned his first honoree. Senior Audrey Bibb was named for the third time in her Quakers career while junior Shannon O'Boyle was honored for the second time. From women's basketball, junior Magarah Bloom was recognized for the first time in her Wilmington career.
