Isak Alin Named OAC Men's Swimmer of the Week

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - Wilmington College men's swimming sophomore Isak Alin was named the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men's Swimmer of the Week for his performance at the Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational this past weekend.

Alin broke his own record in the 100-yard IM, swimming a time of 54.52 seconds and beating the entire field now by over three seconds. He also won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:08.23 and placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a mark of 58.59 seconds.

"I am really happy for Isak [Alin] as he continues to improve because of an incredible work ethic," Head Men's Swimming Coach Trip Breen said. "He really applies things that he learns in practice to competition. This honor is something truly deserves after some outstanding swims last weekend."

The Ohio Wesleyan Invitational closes out the 2019 calendar year for the Fightin' Quakers. Wilmington returns to the pool at the University of Mount Union on Jan. 19, 2020.
