WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's swimming team fell to John Carroll University 205-57 in a Senior Day meet held at the Wilmington Natatorium on Saturday afternoon.

"Today was our last dual meet of the season and another great opportunity to compete prior to the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships next month," Head Men's Swimming Coach Trip Breen said. "The tough workouts are just about over, and we are just about ready to begin our taper. Athletically we wanted to focus on fine tuning few things and have one more opportunity to race."

Isak Alin had three top-three finishes including winning the 100-meter IM with a time of 1:02.38. The sophomore also claimed runner-up honors in the 100-meter breaststroke (1:11.03) and placed third in the 50-meter breaststroke (31.96 seconds).

Aaron Polk was the other individual to record multiple top-three finishes for the Quakers. Polk took third in the 100-meter butterfly (1:08.30) and the 800-meter freestyle (9:45.31). Additionally, Logan Schroer took third in the 400-meter freestyle (4:40.64).

Schroer also teamed up with Ian Darras, Reed Ashcraft and Jared Shoemaker to post a time of 1:50.48 and take second in the 200-meter freestyle relay.

"We also wanted to celebrate our senior class and show appreciation for their hard work, loyalty, friendship and commitment to Wilmington College and our swimming program this afternoon," Breen said. "Many thanks Brody Morris and Jared Shoemaker!"

Wilmington will have a couple weeks off before returning to the pool for the OAC Championships, held at Akron University's Ocasek Natatorium from Feb. 13-15.
